September is National Preparedness Month, so it’s a great time to review what supplies are in your emergency kit. It’s recommended to have enough non-perishable food, water and medicine for each person in your family for at least a week in the event of a natural disaster.
According to the CDC, if you need to go to a public shelter, bring at least two cloth face coverings for each person and, if possible, hand sanitizer. For more tips on how to build an emergency kit, visit https://www.redcross.org/get-help/how-to-prepare-for-emergencies.html
